Alloa 4 v 3 Stirling Albion (54 images)
Despite the win over Stranraer last weekend it was hardly a buoyant Albion team which made the short trip to Recreation Park to take on local rivals Alloa. With skipper Ross Forsyth still out injured it was a makeshift looking Stirling defence which took to the field. It's been a struggle for Allan Moore's men so far this season and on the Recreation Park plastic it was sure to be a tough test of his confidence-starved side. What transpired was one of the most bizarre but ultimately frustrating games of the season so far. A poor opening half saw the hosts ahead thanks to a goal from Jamie Stevenson. What ever Moore said at the break didn't work as within 10 minutes of the restart we were three down. A quick reply from Martin Grehan gave us hope which seemed to be nipped in the bud when a soft looking penalty reinstated the Wasps three goal cushion. However, Stirling then threw everything at Alloa and a deflected Liam Corr effort and a nice finish from Paul Murphy made it a dramatic last few minutes. John O'Neill should have levelled before a late penalty shout was turned down to end Albion hopes.
