Arbroath 1 v Stirling Albion 2 (77 images)
The last game before the break for the international weekend saw Stirling making their second trip of the season to face Arbroath at Gayfield. Defeat in a midweek League Cup tie was a sore one to take and Allan Moore's men would have been keen on revenge and in the process gaining a much needed win. With most Albion fans entering into the spirit of a "Beach Party" themed day it was a colourful and noisy Stirling support which was in attendance to cheer their team on. To make a fun day out complete the Stirling players did their part by coming from behind to get their first league win of the season. Despite dominating the early going it was Arbroath who hit the front when Scott Gates slotted past Myles Hogarth. The Beanos were quickly back on terms when John O'Neill steered the ball beyond home keeper Darren Hill. The moment that some Stirling fans thought might never come...err..came...when David McKenna scored. The goal proved to be the winner despite Mark Docherty being sent off with over thirty minutes still to play. Arbroath even conspired to miss a penalty but anything other than a Stirling win would have been a travesty.
