East Fife 0 v 3 Stirling Albion (55 images)
Stirling's last away match of a frustrating 2008/09 season saw them head to Methil to take on East Fife at Bayview. The Fife side had been many people's tips for a second straight promotion but as the money seems to have run out on the Fife coast so their form has gone down the pan. It was therefore a meaningless match on paper but Allan Moore would have been keen for his troops to secure a top half of the table finish and to hit the 50 point mark. Stirling have been unbeaten in their three previous matches with East Fife and they made it 10 points out of 12 when the Beanos cruised to an comfortable 3-0 success. Right from the kick off the game had an end of season feel but of the two sides the Albion seemed more up for the match. A slip from an East Fife defender saw David McKenna given the chance to put Stirling ahead and he did so with ease. East Fife's performance continued to get worse the longer the game went on and two second half strikes from Michael Mullen (although I'm sure McKenna got a touch on one !!) saw Stevie Crawford's managerial debut end in a heavy defeat.
