East Fife 1 v 2 Stirling Albion (46 images)
Back to back defeats, including a painful derby loss to Alloa, saw Allan Moore's men heading for the Fife coast desperate to halt their slump in form. An inability to keep clean sheets allied to some wasteful finishing has seen the Albion replaced on top of the division by Cowdenbeath and the Forthbank faithful are not amused. A trip to Bayview Stadium gave the Beanos the chance to get back to winning ways against a side they have a good record against in recent matches. Stirling have defeated the Methil outfit 3-0 in their last two encounters and a repeat today would be most welcome.
True to form Stirling started poorly as a negative looking line-up struggled to carve out too many clear cut chances. It came as no real surprise when the Albion once again conceded the first goal as Paul McManus took advantage of dreadful play by Andy Gibson to put the hosts ahead. This is now eight straight games in which Allan Moore's side has lost the first goal but thankfully the team didn't let their heads drop. An improved, and more positive, effort in the second period saw the visitors storm back into the match. A David O'Brien strike levelled shortly after the lemons, and for the third time this season Stirling went on to score a last minute winner when Martin Grehan hooked the ball home.
