Raith Rovers 1 v 1 Stirling Albion (108 images)
After what seemed like weeks since our last Albion fix the Beanos cranked back into action this afternoon with a visit to league leaders Raith Rovers. With five straight wins under their belts the Stirling players would have been in confident mood pre-match but Raith were bound to present a tough challenge. Last time the teams met at Starks Park the game had a depressing end as Stirling missed a penalty to seal the win only to see Raith score a penalty of their own seconds later to steal a point. Allan Moore would have been hoping for a better finale this time round.
With the wind blowing and the pitch a mess of divots it was never likely to be a classic. Both teams being out of action for three weeks also contributed to a scrappy affair. Stirling took an early lead through David McKenna's 6th of the season only for Kevin Smith to level the scores twenty minutes in. Both teams had chances to nick a win but as the final whistle sounded the spoils were shared for the second time this season at Starks Park.
