Sparsely Populated Isles - Orkney

The Orkney Islands contains many small islands. A lot of these are relatively well populated for their size but there are a few which are home to small but vibrant communities.

Most are very close to larger islands but in some ways this makes their fight for survival even more important as they are too close to be left empty.
