.jpg) RedWeb - Armchair Fan For The Day !! After another lay off due to cold weather the Albion were back in action today as they made the long trek north to take on Ross County in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. Having battled past Albion Rovers, the prospect of a trip to the first division high flyers from Dingwall couldn't have been one which filled Allan Moore and his team with too much enthusiasm. With Martin Grehan sold, a couple of players cup tied and others missing injured it always looked to be a tough task for a patchwork Stirling side and so it was to prove.
To have any hope of causing an upset the Beanos needed to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes. Sadly in those opening 1200 seconds the Albion's cup dream all but died at Victoria Park. A goal after three minutes from Alex Keddie had County on top from the off and when a Michael Gardyne double made it three with barely a third of the game gone it was all over bar the shouting. Sadly the second half descended into farce as the Albion were put to the sword as another six goals flew past Scott Christie. Come full time it was the joint worst result in Albion history and a day we will need to put behind us as soon as possible.
